Aidan's First Day of Preschool
My baby is growing up too fast! This was his first day of preschool, taken on August 22, 2011. He's in the 2s class (cut-off day was Sept. 1st), so he'll be one of the oldest ones in his classes, which is great with me! He LOVES "skoo" and has made a few friends (his friend Gavin came to his birthday party :). He goes to Acworth United Methodist and his teachers names are Ms. Lynne & Ms. Kim. I gotta admit, he's really stinking cute :)

Both boys love the water (which is good, we live on the lake!), and we were sad to see summer go away. Next year will be really fun for them!
Boys Sharing a Room
Since Saylor is coming this February, we decided to move Roman into Aidan's room a little early so they're totally used to it by the time she's here. This proved to be the most exciting thing for them so far! They were so excited to have a room together (September 6, 2011)! Granted, the first 2 weeks were an all out party up there for nap and bedtime....which made cranky babies with early bedtimes! But now, 90% of the time they'll fall right asleep and then when they do wake up they play together and laugh. It's the best sound in the world :)
I cannot tell you how much I love to see the brother bond that has formed between them. They're best friends...it melts my heart.

Aidan cannot sleep without "Bo," his bear. If anything happens to that thing, it's going to be world-ending! FYI: Aidan NO LONGER has a pacy! We were a little lenient (it's really hard to take a pacy away when you have another baby in the house that has them! Same goes with potty training and diapers...) with his pacys, and by 2 1/2 he was only allowed to have them at night and in the car, but on his 3rd birthday we took them away for good. With Roman we're going to do this sooner :) We did go to the dentist and so far no damage has occured due to the length of time with the pacy...so whew!

Aidan's 3rd Birthday at Faye & Robert's
Part 1 of 5 Birthday celebrations for Aidan. I know....way too excessive!! But, that's what happens when you celebrate at both great grandparents house, birthday party, school & his actual birthday!
We eat lunch at Faye & Robert's house every Friday at 12 since Robert can't go places anymore (these are Mike's parents that started Dupree Plumbing back in 1958). The boys sitting on Aunt Emily's lap while Aunt Deb (Mike's sister) sets down the cake!

Aidan's Motorcycle Birthday Party
We had Aidan's birthday party on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at DAC Kids. It's this great place with bouncy houses, sand, fish, balls....anything for a kid to jump on and destroy!
My really good friend Cynthia has a bakery and made Aidan's cake...it was moist chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing. It was a huge hit!!

At home opening up all the presents. It's ridiculous how much stuff kids get. Before every birthday & Christmas I have to give away a bunch of toys to make room.
GeoTracks! For all the moms with boys out there - get this!! It's the best thing ever! You can make any track you want and all GeoTracks link up with each other. We got a huge tubberware bin to put it all away after they're finished playing. Josh loves this toy too :)

Birthday Party at Grandmama's & Granddaddy's
The next day, Sunday, September 19, 2011, we celebrated Aidan's birthday at Grandmama's. We go over there most Sundays after church to eat lunch with everyone (this is Cathy's parents).

Aidan's School Birthday Party
Aidan goes to school Tues & Thurs and it so happens that his birthday fell on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 this year! So we did a little birthday party during snack time!

Aidan's Birthday - September 20, 2011
We still cannot believe that Aidan is now 3! On his actual birthday Mommy & Daddy gave him his gift from us...a new tricycle! He loved his old one, but it's way too small now, so now he's upgraded.
He loves it!
Happy 3rd Birthday Aidan!! He's grown so much. He's 38 inches tall and he weighs 32 pounds (tall and skinny!). He's a TALKER. He talks about trains, Herschel, Roman, going outside, his friends, you name it! He can say complete sentences, knows most of his colors and shapes, can sing his ABC's, Happy Birthday, and Jesus Loves Me all by himself, and he's in the middle of potty training. He likes to say, "I smell someping," "I love you," and Josh likes for him to repeat when he says,"my vocabulary is growing exponetially!" He loves Roman. They play together all the time, share a room, share pretty much everything, and everytime we drop him off at school he asks when Romie can come. He's also pretty good at manipulating Roman to get whatever toy he is playing with...we're working on that! :) He loves giving hugs, he has great southern manners, and we cannot wait to see the plan God has for him!!
