DUPREE CHRISTMAS 2011
Christmas came unusally fast this year, but it was an incredible one!
Our Christmas card. My good friend Lori took our pictures (I'll post that photo session soon!) and designed our cards. She's an incredible photographer and designer

The boys with Santa...this was by far the best picture of Roman!
This was poor little Roman for all of the other pictures! :(
The Wolfe & Dupree Families with Santa! Emily, Samantha (they were our flower girls 5 years ago!) and baby Benjamin
This was my "fun tree" on our plant shelf
Garland and bows
I did "Christmas Card Garland" this year! It's a great way to see all of the beautiful cards...thank you Pinterest :)

The most important part...the cross! There would be no reason to celebrate the birth of Jesus if our Savior didn't die on the cross for our sins and then raise again, defeating death and making a way for us to have an intimate relationship with God. Thank you JESUS!

CHRISTMAS EVE
This year we celebrated Christmas Eve with the Dupree side and then Christmas day with the Hayes side (we flip flop every year). We all went to church and then we came back to Mike & Cathy's house for Christmas Eve dinner.
My crazy child. He is in midair jumping off the presents. This was very entertaining for him!
Such a proud mama! Cathy usually makes a special jell-o (this is why I love this family....I'm not the best cook in the world, and they don't cook that much either so there are no expectations! haha!) so this year Emily took over and made a rainbow jell-o! Cathy is so proud!
Our expanding family on Christmas Eve. I'm 8 months here.
Aidan & Roman got matching jackets to go outside in!
Proud Falcons fan!
Daddy and his boys
Aunt Em gave Aidan a camera...huge hit! Every few seconds he'd make us all stop and say cheese so he could take our picture!
VeggieTales!! The boys love VeggieTales.
My Romie loves taking pictures :)
"Say cheese!"
And the jumping continues...
Roman helping Daddy, Aunt Em and Grandpa put up their basketball goal!
It took all three of them to assemble this thing for some reason! The best part was after it was up, Mike took the basketball and went to "slam dunk" it....missed....the ball went flying off the backboard....nailed the lamp in the corner....came back and almost hit Mike, who then lost his balance and tried taking down Josh while trying to miss landing on Roman! It was a hysterical series of events!
Mike on the ground after almost taking down Josh and the tree with his fall!
Roman is wondering, "what is going on?"
Emily and Cathy laughing!! It was so funny!
Roman practicing basketball while Aidan practices baseball with their new baseball shooter thing...
CHRISTMAS MORNING AT OUR HOUSE
Santa came to visit! Disclaimer: the basket of toys are old and just storage! Only what's on the fireplace was from Santa! Haha, otherwise that'd be crazy :)
He ate some of the cookies the boys made on cookie day!
Aidan & Roman's present from Mommy & Daddy!!
Christmas breakfast...notice the camera is still very much in play for Aidan!
We started a tradition where after breakfast we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus and get birthday cake! We really wanted our kids to know the true meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate it.

They love blowing out the candles!
Ha! This picture makes me laugh....he's a hot little mess!
Looking at their books & stickers!
They LOVE their Jesus Storybook Bible! This is their 2nd one...the first one was demolished so they were very excited to get a new one that has all the stories in it!
Aidan's gift to me & Josh that he made at school
So sweet!!
On our way to show them their big present!!
The minute they saw it they went running down to play! It was raining so they didn't get to play long.
The boys loved their playset. An hour or so later after the boys had been bathed and dressed, Josh was in the kitchen and I was getting ready. Josh came in and asked me if Roman was in the bathroom with me, which he wasn't...so we both panicked and looked everywhere for him. The little sneaker had unlocked the deadbolt to the door and gone outstide in the pouring rain to play on the playset! Needless to say, we now have a "chime" that blares throughout the house anytime any door is opened since deadbolts apparently don't keep him in!
CHRISTMAS DAY
We celebrated Christmas at my mom & dad's house this year and it was so much fun!
Uncle Tommy and Aunt Seesha made them their very own cornhole set! :)
A plane like Pappy used to fly!
Nana & Aidan
Haha, I love them!! We wore tacky Christmas sweaters for Christmas this year! My mom had a very large supply ;)
What goes with a tacky Christmas sweater? Reindeer antlers...duh :)
Learning to play! One day I'll post a picture of Aidan playing the piano in the same outfit Roman is wearing at the same age...too cute
Nana & Pappy give some pretty cool toys! Tools, boats, airplanes, trains....every boys' dream!
Pappy & Aidan with his train! HUGE hit
My dad gave Josh and Tommy remote control helicopters. It's amazing that boys still LOVE that kind of stuff even in their 20s and early 30s...
and 50s!!! We all got Dad a remote control airplane and he was like Aidan & Roman on Christmas!
Socks with money in them from Grandma Lucy!! It's not Christmas without her gifts!!
An ornament with part of the money taped to it! The other parts were in a sweater and socks :) I love Grandma Lucy...she's incredible!
Pretty mom at her pretty table :)
I love when my mom plays the piano. It sends me back to my childhood.
It is impossible to go to Nana & Pappy's and not go down to the train room! The boys love this!
Lily was in the Christmas spirit!
She's so cute :)
Playing! You have to protect yourself with Roman...he's rough!
Haha, what's better than a tacky Christmas sweater? An 8 month preggo girl trying to squeeze into it!
Roman LOVES "nanas!"
We had an amazing Christmas with both families! It was really nice that we all got to go to church together on Christmas Eve too. We're VERY blessed to come from 2 great families that live really close to each other (5 min apart) and really close to us (30 min apart). Aidan & Roman really got into Christmas this year and it was fun to see the excitement when we went to dinners or opened gifts. The best part was that they both (mainly Aidan!) know that Christmas is Jesus' birthday and why Jesus is so important to us. It's incredible to think that this time next year we'll have a 10 month old baby girl with us!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
