Destin Family Vacation!

For a whole week, April 2-9, 2011, we had a family vacation in Destin, Florida where the beaches are amazing!  It was so wonderful because my Grandma Lucy came, along with my Aunt Sharon and Aunt Liz.  We got the Penthouse, which couldn't have been better.  Our view was incredible, we had plenty of space for everyone, and it was so much fun!
Nana and her grandbabies...Aidan is rocking out and Roman is attempting to rock out
Tommy and Marisa!  They came, along with Shelley, for the weekend.  It was nice to see them even if it was only for a day!
Dad and Grandma Lucy!  They were the "Birthday" people all week since they both share a birthday on April 6th :)
 Aunt Seesha and Romy
Shell, Tom, Grandma Lucy, Marisa, Dad and Mom

Sunset....beautiful.  Our porch was amazing and the view was simply incredible.
Pappy in the kids red wagon playing!  Mom got to pull them around!
First of all, let me just say that my Grandma Lucy is 82 and looks FABULOUS!  She's amazing.  Roman hated the sand...so day 1 of sand = tears until Grandma Lucy saved him

Aidan LOVED the ocean!  Every morning he would wake up and say, "Daddy beach?"
 Happy on Aunt Seesha's lap

 My sweet, tired boys :)
Mom, Aunt Sharon, Grandma Lucy and Aunt Liz!  The sisters and their mom :)

Roman likes to "help" clean the kitchen
I love this picture...Aunt Sharon and Aunt Liz looking at the view

Eating appetizers on the balcony...it was so awesome!

Playing!  Aidan was non-stop and Roman was a stage 5 clinger

One of my favorite pictures.  This captures our trip with Aidan and the beach...he was totally in love with the ocean!

Aunt Sharon and Roman!  She's a pro now that she has her own 2 grandbaby boys at home :)

By the third day Roman would walk on the sand and kind of play in it!  A huge improvement from day 1 :)

 He's so cute....I love baby bodies :)

 Grandma and her girls
 Twins!
 Birthday dinner!

Singing Happy Birthday to Grandma Lucy!  82...she's incredible.  Not only does she look absolutely amazing, but she has as much energy as Aidan :)

Singing Happy Birthday to Pappy!!  (you look amazing too Daddy!:)
Blowing out the candles!  Aidan was very excited about cake!

Like Roman's shirt says, "This is how we roll"

We buried Aidan in a hole :)

 Eating bananas!
Dominos!  We love this game and played it a bunch at night.
Counting points...always painful for a few of us ;)
Opening Grandma's gifts!  She's so sweet....they loved their books and toys!

Since Aidan was getting really daring in the water, we thought we should put a life jacket on him just in case.  Apparently it takes 2 men to put this contraption on him...haha :)

 Roman loves his big brother
Nana and Pappy walking Roman towards the water.  He actually got his feet wet by the end of the trip!

 Constantly moving :)

 Sisters!

I love this picture...Aidan was having a blast
 Amazing hubby :)

 All of us!
Aunt Liz practicing being a Grandma with her water buddy, Roman!  She finds out if she's going to be a grandma to a little boy or girl this Friday!!  It's funny how our family has SO many girls, and now the boy grandbabies are taking over!
 Up...
and letting the water pass by!  Romy loved this game!

The outside of the penthouse.  It was that whole 4 block of windows.  We had a main balcony, and then the master had a balcony upstairs.  It was such a nice place to stay.  Hopefully next year?! :)
We had a week of fun!

Wonderful beach trip!  We had so much fun and it was great to see family that we don't get to see that often!  It was also really nice to celebrate Grandma's birthday with her...that's very rare for us!  We will definitely have to plan a huge family reunion with everyone soon.  This was too much fun to just do every once in a while!!

Looks like so much fun! And those boys are adorable. They're getting so big. Can't wait to see you guys in June.

Jolynn,
Your photos are amazing, you're brilliant to use the sports action setting to capture your boys in motion. That was a fun week in Destin, thanks for sharing your pictures!
Love,
Aunt Liz
