This year we went to Fripp Island, SC for a week (June 2-9) with Josh's parents and his sister Emily. We stayed at the same house when we came 2 years ago in 2010, so it was so much fun to go back! Except when we came this time we have added one more person :)
Roman is obsessed with "dub step" music (it's kind of like an electronic type dance music) and he calls it "doggie step" music! This is him doing his dance moves to it! This child has more energy than words can explain...
Building a sandcastle with Grandpa
Hanging out in her tent on the beach
Their work of art! Aidan & Roman wouldn't cooperate to be in the picture...but Mike is very proud :)
Saylor girl in her Bumbo (3 months)
FLASHBACK: Roman in the Bumbo at 3 months in 2010! It's crazy how much changes in 2 years!
All 3 kids :)
This is kinda sad, but Saylor looks soo sweet when she cries!
The deer on Fripp Island are like dogs...they come right up to you and eat out of your hand and they are everywhere!! It's really neat. Every night we'd all go on a golf cart ride (the boys' favorite thing to do!) and we'd look for deer to feed and then we'd go to the playground.
A sweet little family of deer
Cute baby :)
1 of 10,000 golfcart rides...I cannot explain Aidan's face here!
Sweet boys
This huge buck came right up to our golfcart!
I love that they love each other so much
The night there was so beautiful and peaceful. It's awesome to take in God's beauty.
Silly boy
Saylor loves to pull at Roman's hair...
he loves her so much!
Saylor's first swing ride at the park
FLASHBACK: Roman's first swing ride at the same park 2 years ago!
She loved it :)
Look how big my baby Roman is now :( 2 years goes by so fast!
Kissing before going down the slide!
FLASHBACK: 2 years ago when Aidan was 19 months!! Wow.
Aidan has grown and changed so much! He's such a little stud :)
There was a pond by the park and we would see flying (yes, I mean actual flying-out-of-the-water fish!) and an alligator! The boys thought it was really cool...we did too :)
Biggie loves his baby sister
Beach time
She's such a sweet baby.
Haha, Josh getting ready to "pull" Aidan in the pool
Aidan loves to be thrown...
This was Wednesday morning. The problem with mornings while on vacation:
1.) Roman is not in a crib tent
2.) Roman is not in a crib tent
3.) Roman is not in a crib tent
4.) Without Roman in a crib tent, he is up (which means we are up) at 6AM...yes you read that correctly. On vacation and up at 6AM. I should clarify, Josh was up at 6AM :)
It rained all day on Wednesday, but everyone enjoyed a walk on the beach in the morning while me and Saylor girl stayed inside and read a book :)
That face and those blue eyes kill me!
Crab legs! We ate so well every night! Aidan really liked crab & shrimp night.
Can you tell I like dressing her in cute outfits and matching bows?
They loved running through the water on the beach! Aidan loved it more...Roman wasn't too sure about the "waterfalls" (aka waves)
My boys :)
My man :)
Hello mini-Josh
Roman + running hose = crazyness
FLASHBACK: Look similar?! That was Aidan at 19 months!! Oh man, time flys by way too fast. I guess that's what it feels like when you have 3 babies in 3.5 years
Romie...studmuffin
Another moment of Josh "pulling" Aidan captured
It's not a vacation without watermelon!
Best dad ever
Best buds ever
Playing in the tide pools! At Fripp, the tide goes in and out everyday. So at near the end of the day when the tide is low, the boys would go out to the beach and play in the little tide pools everywhere! Some of them got pretty deep.
He looks so very small in the tide pool, next to God's giant pool (aka ocean!)
I love that smile!
Mike & Cathy :) I got so blessed with in-laws
The whole Dupree Family 2012 (Aidan 3.5, Roman 2, Saylor 3 months)
FLASHBACK: Dupree Family 2010 (Aidan 19 months, Roman 3 months)...we've added sweet Saylor since then!
The girls
Haha, I love this picture...it captures the chaos of getting these pics!
Our sweet family. Thank you Jesus for blessing me.
Another sweet blessing :)
Our family trip to Fripp Island was so much fun!! I love the house we stay at because it's right on the beach and it has a pool, so it makes it very easy. Here are some memories:
1.) It took us about 7 or so hours to get there with all the stops, while it took Emily only about 4.5!
2.) Roman was not in a crib tent so Josh would wake up every morning at 6am with the boys and try to get them to watch Bubble Guppies or Octonauts before truly getting up at 7!
3.) Saylor and I slept in... :)
4.) We went on about 300 golfcart rides while we were there
5.) We went to the grocery store a lot and had so much good food
6.) The boys went golfing one day, so while they were gone we all took a trip to the closest Chick-fil-A for lunch (about 45 min away because Fripp Island is VERY small) and Wal-Mart so the boys could pick out a toy since it was raining that day
7.) The toys the boys picked out were extremely obnoxious and awesome to listen to on the way back to the beach house ;) Roman got a motorcyle and Aidan got a CAT dirt mover toy
8.) We saw an alligator and flying fish
9.) We saw lots of crabs
10.) Aidan loved the ocean but didn't want to get "bubbles" in his mouth
11.) One day all the girls went to Beaufort for lunch and shopping...it was so fun to bring Saylor along!
12.) We had a lot of peach tea
13.) We brought so much stuff that we had to fit half of it in Mike & Cathy's Tahoe
14.) Everyday we would be either in the pool, at the beach, on the golfcart and at the park
15.) We really liked to go to the beach club and get ice cream cones
We loved our little family vacation, had a lot of fun and made some great memories!
