Oregon Trip for Grandma Lucy's 80th!

First off, I know, I know....I have been REALLY bad at posting on my blog and I am really going to try and be better at updating it!! It's been on my "to-do" list for the past 3 months!

At the begining of April we made the trip out to Oregon for my Grandma Lucy's 80 BIRTHDAY PARTY! Wow, she does not look nor act even close to 70...so it's still hard to believe that she's 80. I will admit, I was extremely nervous and I was really starting to panic as we were boarding the plane because a 5 hour plane ride with a 6 month old sometimes does not mix. So, I prepared for the worse...and yes, I did bring baby benydryl for extreme backup if we didn't think we were going to make it. But guess what....I totally under-estimated my little Angel Baby, and he was just that...an Angel Baby! We were lucky and both flights there and back weren't full, so we were able to bring on his carseat (it was pretty easy to get the person that was supposed to sit next to us to move once he/she saw we had a baby!), and he slept the whole way! It was actually a relaxing flight! And of course, we flew DELTA :)
Daddy & Aidan before the plane taxied out to the runway
Bottle during take-off & landing to help with the pressure...but Aidan didn't seem bothered by it at all.
So, we made it to Oregon in one piece and we got to stay at the Rondeau Hotel! This time we got the "Riverside" room, which was gorgeous. Aunt Liz also borrowed a bunch of baby stuff for us so that made everything easier! We love staying there...it's soooo nice! There's Aunt Liz & Jacqueline....who just got engaged a few weeks ago to Clay! Yay! Wedding/Family Reunion in August of 2010!
Josh, Jac & me. We had so much fun! I'm so glad that Jacqueline could fly over from the lovely town of Pullman, WA to see us!
Me & my twin :)
Aunt Sharon & Aidan! I'm so glad that Aunt Sharon got to come over to Liz & Bob's so we could see more of her before we had to leave!

So, Josh has been out to Oregon a dozen times, and everytime we go it's couldy and rainy so he never got to see Mt. Hood. BUT, this time we brought the Georgia sunshine with us and he finally got to see it! We had perfect weather the whole time!
Me & Sara! It was so much fun to hang out with Sara....she cracks me up!
Baby boy fell asleep on Jac....so cute!
Grandma Lucy's 80th Birthday Party! It was on Sunday at her house and the weather couldn't have been better. 70 degrees and sunny! There were at least 80-90 people there, so it was a great turn-out! Grandma had a great time seeing family & friends! Aidan had a great time too....we never really saw him because he was being passed around everywhere. At one point I turned around and a lady was feeding him chocolate cake! Yes, that is true and yes, I almost freaked because he had never had real food before! Before I could do anything though, he blew his raspberries and chocolate cake flew everywhere! He also got doused with white wine from the same lady! She was really nice though!! :)
Josh, Richie, me & Emily. It was so great that we got to see them! Richie was supposed to be at a boot camp (or something like that!?!), but it got delayed, which was great for us because I really wanted to see them! We also had a ton of fun with Cate, Robin & Jennie! Those 3 really made me laugh.

Me & Carol! She's my Mom & Dad's really good friend from college and I love seeing her when we go up there! Her and her husband Robin even made the trip out to our wedding 3 years ago (wow, it's already been almost 3 years....what happened to the time?).

"Professor Aidan" loved Richie's glasses!
On the flight back home!! Someone looks a little worried! :)
Angel Baby!
Herschel really missed Aidan, so when we picked him up from Grandma & Grandpa's he sat next to Aidan the whole ride home. Most of the time he had his head in his carseat. Such a great big brother!

Aidan is 6 Months!

Aidan was 6 months on March 20, 2008! Time has really flown by. He's able to sit up on his own, roll over from front to back and from back to front, and he's a talker! He constantly says, "Mamamamamama" or "Dadadadadadada." He's also working on the "t's." He loves making "raspberries" or in other words, blowing bubbles. And, he LOVES TO SMILE AND LAUGH! That's my favorite sound in the world! He's an angel baby. He's always smiling (unless hungry or poopy) and loves people. He's my little angel face and each day gets better and better.
