Maternity Pictures - Roman

At the end of January we had our maternity pictures taken (I was about 36 weeks). We loved our photographer and ended up with some really precious pictures. I personally love maternity pictures because it's so easy to get caught up in life and forget how awesome it was to be pregnant and all the amazing feelings that come with growing a baby (besides the feelings of being HUGE at the end!). It's fun to look back at such an incredible and life changing time in your life.

We're so excited for Roman Thomas to be here! Only a few more days and we'll have a new member to our family, and Aidan will have a little bro :)

Snow Day!

This past Saturday (2/13/10) we spent the day out on the lake bed and in the woods exploring all the snow! Herschel and Aidan LOVED it. Mommy & Aidan
Herschel digging his huge holes in the lake bed with his helper by his side :)
Sometimes Aidan would want me to hold his hand, but most of the time he was Mr. Independent
Happy boy!
Aidan & Herschel running off (Josh had to run after Aidan shortly after this picture because he was headed right toward the creek....and he wanted to swim with Herschey)
My boys (soon to be 3! Well....4 counting Herschel. I am SO outnumbered)
The woods were beautiful. It was like a fairy tale. It's amazing how different something so familiar can look with snow everywhere!
This is just the beginning of Aidan's adventures in our backyard! Pretty soon he'll have a little brother to get dirty with.
Herschel loved having a companion to play with! Aidan fell and this is Herschel encouraging him to get up so they can go play :)

Only a lab could think that swimming in freezing cold water with snow all around you would sound like fun.
Aidan fell on a stick and got his FIRST fat lip!! He was a trooper and only cried for a little bit. My poor baby :( I have a feeling this is the first of MANY fat lips from playing outside!

Aidan's 14 Month Pictures

I know that I have been horrible at keeping our blog updated, but I'm going to try and catch up on everything before our new baby comes in 5 weeks! We had family pictures taken at the Marietta Square this past November '09 by a friend and she did an amazing job! Aidan was such a sweetheart the whole time and took great pictures! We can't believe how fast he's growing up :)

And he's off!! Aidan is walking

Aidan is officially walking! He started trying to take a few steps at about 13 months, and by 14 months he is walking EVERYWHERE. He looks like a drunken little man, it's the cutest thing in the world! He almost reminds me of a penguin because he kind of "waddles!" I do like that he can walk from the car to the store....he just gets distracted by tires of cars and things on the ground :)

He's trying to run, so I'll try to post another video. He's growing up so fast!! He also has learned the word, "Oww" so he's saying that about everything. :)

October & Halloween

This October flew by and we cannot believe it's already November! October has been so much fun with college and NFL football games (our poor dawgs have seen better days...), cooler weather, pumpkins and Halloween!!This year Aidan was a little monkey! He was ADORABLE. Especially the little feet and tail, it was so cute!

This is me and my monkey on Halloween. We spent Halloween at our friends' Ryan & Natalie (with their little baby William), where we went trick-or-treating at a nearby neighborhood and grilled out. Before we went trick-or-treating! Aidan got a lot of candy, which we ate :) FYI, I look a lot bigger in this picture than in person! I'm only 23 weeks, but this was a bad angle! Haha

Our little monkey!

We went to the pumpkin patch in the middle of October to pick out our pumpkins. That's Aidan with Melissa's 2 little girls Samantha & Emily (they were our flower girls at our wedding!). For pumpkins we got one for me, one for Josh, a small one for Aidan and a very tiny one for baby boy #2
Aidan discovering everything
"Can I keep this?" is what I think he said in his "Aidanese" language! That boy talks ALL THE TIME in his own little language!

He found his pumpkins!

This was Aidan LAST YEAR at Halloween! The time seriously goes by so fast! He has grown so much and he is just so much fun. He's about to walk (he can take 5 to 10 steps by himself and then he crawls) and he's a little talker. Talk, talk, talk....talking about everything. This was a great Halloween, and we think he had fun trick-or-treating. Next year he'll have a blast because he'll really "get" it! Hope y'all had a Happy Halloween! Now it's time to decorate for Christmas! :)
