Easter 2012

Aidan's preschool Easter Party on March 26, 2012.  They also had a Musical at school where the kids sang songs...Aidan sang about 2 songs and then ran over to sit with us!  His teacher said that he loved singing during class, but the minute he saw us he started to lose it...poor guy!
 Easter Egg Hunt

Roman was helping Biggie :)  He CANNOT wait to go to school with Biggie this Fall...it's so cute how much they love each other.

Saylor slept through all the excitement
 Crazy boys :)

DECORATING EASTER EGGS
On Saturday April 7, 2012 Shelley was here so we dyed Easter Eggs!
I love all of her bows...girls are so much fun!
Naked boys ready to make a huge mess

 I love him :)
Roman liked to stick his hand in the dye and then try to eat the eggs :)
Glad Seesha was there...this was a 2 man event
 Success!
Easter baskets!  They got Jesus Loves Me stickers, VeggieTales DVDs, sunglasses and Peeps :)
That night we all hung out and played games since Tommy & Shelley were in town...Kyle and Saylor were hanging out on the couch

EASTER - HE IS RISEN!!
When the kids first got up on Easter we went over the Easter story and how amazing it is that our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ conquered the grave!  We explained that Jesus died on Good Friday for our sins and on the third day He rose, defeating death and making a way for us to have everlasting life with Him.
"...Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures..." 1 Corintians 15:1
"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corintians 15:55-57
 Finding their Easter baskets

 Morning nap before Church
What's cooler than sunglasses and a finger up your nose?
Our family Easter 2012 (I had a cute dress on at church, but was way too uncomfortable to stay in it for dinner!)
 Aunt Seesha and Saylor
She was very fashionable for Easter Sunday :)
Uncle Kyle - the baby whisperer
Easter dinner at Kyle & Bethany's!
They had an Easter Egg hunt for the boys!
Aidan would diligently find his eggs and place them in his bucket...
while Roman raced around and found every egg possible, opened it up, ate the candy and then left the egg there.  No need for a bucket when you're that efficient!
Aidan with his bucket full of eggs (mostly empty eggs thanks to Roman)
Roman on a sugar high from inhaling all the candy! I love our boys!
Since Kyle is a Tennis Pro, he has a TON of tennis balls...
and what's more fun than making a huge mess?
Nana and Saylor taking it easy :)

Easter was a lot of fun this year and it's so awesome to see our boys really starting to understand the true meaning of Easter.  It's not about a bunny, or candy, or eggs.  All of those things are fun and the traditions are exciting to keep going, but the MOST important thing about Easter is Jesus IS RISEN and He is ALIVE and He is ruling and reigning on the right side of God our Father.  Without Jesus raising from the dead, we would all have no hope in a Savior.  BUT HE DID RISE and we can put our faith in Him.

"But when this priest [Jesus] had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.  Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made a footstool, because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy." Hebrews 10:12-14

"To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me [Jesus] on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne." Revelation 3:21

Love the pictures! Such a beautiful family! Do you have Saylor sleeping in a co-sleeper? If yes- what do you have in it- it looks like she is elevated. Just curious for our next little one (a ways down the road!)
