Aidan is FIVE

Five.  5.  My first baby is already 5 years old.  It's gone by really fast (I'm guessing it's because we haven't stopped having babies in the 5 years since we had Aidan!), but in all seriousness, "where does the time go?"

Aidan's 5th Birthday Party
We had Aidan's birthday party at Champion Kids on the 14th.  We go here a lot during the school year to play :)
Our sweet fam of 5, going on 6 soon!
 Roman and Pappy
 Saylor and Nana
Say wasn't having a good day.  She didn't get the memo that it wasn't her party and she can't cry if she wants to ;)
Sad cry where she can't even bear to look at anyone.  Girls are SO different from boys!

Nana & Pappy with their grandkids and one sad Saylor girl

The boys' friend Mason on the swing

One of my best friends since 6th grade!  Roxanne and I take our kids here all the time for playdates.  It's crazy how much life has changed in 19 years!

 Me and my Say

 He's so cute :)
 Seesha and Say girl
My sweet friend Emily!  She's due 5 weeks before me and we both don't know what we're having!  (Since this picture she had her baby and it was a GIRL!  Myla Kate...she's beautiful)

 Roman is non-stop energy
 Hey pretty girl!

 The craziness
 Lila, Myla and Roman

The cupcake cake...of course it had to be Spiderman :)
 Happy Birthday sweet Aidan!

Can you tell these 2 are mine?  They might not look like me, but they love desserts like their mommy ;)

 My friend Lauren and Max

 Kyle and Bethany
5 years ago I had my first baby...time flys when you're having fun :)
 Mom with her girls!
Opening his gifts...I love how all the kids are zoned in on the goods!
Aidan's invitation to his Superman party.  We have entered the stage of superheroes :)

School Party
Aidan had a little school party the next week (the 19th) so we pulled Roman from his class so we could all sing to Aidan with his class :)

I made chocolate cake pops for his class

 Singing Happy Birthday!
 Such a cute 5 year old :)

 Family pic!

GRANDMA FAYE & GRANDPA ROBERT'S
Most Fridays we eat lunch over at Mike's parent's house, so we celebrated Aidan's birthday with them on his actual birthday :)
Grandma Faye got Aidan an awesome CARS cake

 crazy boys

 Someone loves cake

SEPTEMBER 20th
After Faye & Robert's the kids came home and took a nap, and when they woke up Aidan got his gift from mommy & daddy...a new bike!

 So excited...

Roman didn't have one...so we got him one too.  We normally don't do things like that, but we knew that they would want to take bike rides together.

Say now gets the toddler bike!
Aidan told us that for his birthday he wanted to surf one last time before summer went away, so that's what we did!  And Nana came too :)

It was a beautiful day for our last boatride of the year.  We had a fantastic birthday dinner at the lake and of course we had more cake :)

Grandma's
Most Sundays after church we go to Granddaddy's house for lunch, but lately we've been switching it up and meeting at Cathy & Mike's so Granddaddy can get out of the house.  We celebrated Aidan's birthday here on Sunday the 22nd.
Benjamin!  The boys love playing with him.
Aidan asked for his favorite lemon cake

This girl LOVES cake.  Her first few words have been "mama", "peese", "cookie", and "cake"

I love their brotherhood...it's crazy, rambunctious, hectic and fun! Being a mom of boys is not for the faint at heart :)

On Aidan's actual birthday, September 20th, we celebrated by eating lunch and having cake over at great-grandma Faye and great-grandpa Robert's house.  The boys love it over there because they play outside or in the basement after they eat, and then they always get goldfish and animal crackers from Grandma Faye before we leave.  Then later that day we went to the lake with Cathy, Mike and my mom and Aidan went surfing for the last time this summer!  He loved it.  We gave him a bike for his birthday so he has been spending his days riding bikes with his brother (well, Roman likes to walk besides his so it's kinda a slow ride lol!).

We also celebrated another time over at Nana & Pappy's house for a combination birthday dinner for Bethany (6th), Shelley (14th), Aidan (20th) and Tommy (22nd)!  Bethany's parents were there too and her mom's birthday is somewhere between Bethany's and Shelley's, so we celebrated her too!  September is a busy month!

At age 5 Aidan loves:
the color blue (really all colors)
to play outside and in the woods
to dress up like superheroes, especially Iron Man
to color and draw
to play sports (currently is in soccer)
to ride his bike
to watch old school Spiderman cartoons
the movie Planes and all the characters
to read
to set the table before dinner
to go to school & playball
to play at the park
to sleep in his tent in his room

We're so blessed to have him!!
